Planet Nine is built on privacy-first principles. Unlike traditional platforms, we use Sessionless authentication, which means we don't need or collect email addresses, passwords, or personal information to provide our services.
Information We Collect
What We DO Collect
Cryptographic Public Keys
- Your public key (generated from the secp256k1 elliptical curve) serves as your identifier
- This is not personally identifiable information - it's a cryptographic identifier
- Public keys cannot be used to determine your identity, location, or personal details
Transaction Metadata
- Product purchases (amounts, timestamps, product identifiers)
- BDO (Big Dumb Object) storage records
- Emojicodes associated with products
- Affiliate duplication records
Technical Information
- IP addresses (for security and fraud prevention)
- Device information (browser type, operating system)
- Usage logs (pages accessed, features used)
What We DON'T Collect
We do not collect:
- ❌ Email addresses (unless you're a seller via Stripe)
- ❌ Passwords (we don't use passwords)
- ❌ Names or personal profiles
- ❌ Tracking cookies for advertising
- ❌ Behavioral analytics for marketing
- ❌ Location data beyond IP address
- ❌ Browsing history outside Planet Nine
- ❌ Social media information
Information Collected by Stripe
When you become a seller or affiliate and create a Stripe Connected Account, Stripe collects:
Identity Information:
- Legal name (first and last)
- Date of birth
- Government-issued ID
- Tax identification number (SSN or EIN for US sellers)
- Current address
- Phone number
Financial Information:
- Bank account details
- Transaction history
- Payment method information (for buyers)
This information is collected by Stripe, not by Planet Nine. We do not have access to your government-issued ID, SSN/EIN, or banking details.

How We Use Your Information

Your Private Key Security:
- Your private key is stored only on your device
- We never have access to your private key

- If you lose your private key, we cannot recover it
